Ixia is a French artist born in 1978
Visually, it seems obvious that Ixia is an artist sensitive to the notion of movment. Through a colored blend of different universes, she explores simultaeousness of strength and stillness, in a style where figurative and abstraction are mixing. Under a calm and impenetrable appearance live some immense, powerful and deep feelings and concepts.
Holder of a master’s in French Literature, at the age of 24 she decides to devote herself to Painting and receives the instruction from her father who met and worked in the studio of Master Edouard Mac'Avoy (1905-1991), student of Bonnard and Vuillard and who worked with Braque. Then, exhibitions, art meetings and prestigious invitations follow and in only a few years, her work captivates galleries and art collectors all around the world (Europe, Asia, Scandinavia, South America,…).
2011 : Painting Award at the 36th Artmeeting of Lives (Mée-sur-Seine, 77, France) ; Painting Medal at the Artmeeting of Conflans-Ste-Honorine (78, France).
